Two New Staff Join the UP NISMED Family

UP NISMED is proud to have Ms. Beatrice Faye M. Mataac and Ms. Stella Mariz P. Lumayad as recent additions to the UP NISMED academic staff. Ms. Mataac is the newest member of the High School Physics Group while Ms. Lumayad joins the Elementary School Mathematics Group.

Beatrice Faye M. Mataac

Bea, as her friends call her, is a Bachelor in Science Education graduate (cum laude) with specialization in Physics, of the Philippine Normal University. She finished her Master of Arts major in Physics at the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines Diliman in 2022 as a DOST CBPSME scholar. Before joining NISMED, she taught Physics at Adamson University as a senior high school faculty and in National University as a college faculty. During her spare time, she is fond of reading fictional books and attending art conventions and local film festivals. 

Stella Mariz P. Lumayad

Mariz, as she is called, is a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics graduate from the UP Diliman College of Education. She is currently taking up her Master of Arts in Education (major in Mathematics) also at the UP College of Education as a DOST CBPSME scholar. Prior to joining UP NISMED, she taught at Miriam College as a Middle School Mathematics teacher. In her spare time, Mariz listens to the music of SB19 Seventeen, and participates in sports like badminton, basketball, volleyball and netball.
