Ms. Shaine earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education (major in Mathematics) at the UP College of Education. She worked as a high school teacher in a private school for a year and as a project-based research assistant for almost three years. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Statistics in the same university she graduated from. Ms. Shaine’s goal is to create research that will impact policies for the improvement of basic education system in the Philippines. With this goal in mind, she recognizes the need to invest in skills and embraces learning as a lifetime commitment. In her spare time, she loves to read, enjoys the cold strong wind and lush green grass atop mountains, have deep conversation with old and new valuable friends, and listens to good music from the 60’s up to the present.
