On 22 October 2018, the Library Section of UP NISMED organized an in-house lecture-workshop for the academic staff. Ms. Rizalyn V. Janio, head librarian of the Information Services and Instruction section of the University Library, was invited as resource speaker. The aim of the lecture-workshop was to educate the staff about the library through the following topics: 1) The library in a nutshell; 2) Discovering information resources using the Web OPAC; 3) Understanding the library databases; 4) Connecting to online subscription and finding journal articles; and 5) How to ask for help from librarians. Twenty four (24) academic staff participated in the lecture-workshop which was held at the Information Science Laboratory of UP NISMED.
