UP NISMED warmly welcomes Ms. Reena R. Ongsotto as one of the new staff of the Elementary School Science Workgroup. Before coming to the Institute, she was a classroom teacher for 19 years, teaching Integrated Science, Algebra, and Junior High School Science and Senior High School subjects such as Earth, Life, and Physical Science, and General Physics. She also has an extensive background in publishing as an education technology specialist at the Phoenix Publishing House from 2019 to 2021.
Ms. Ongsotto is a BSE Physics graduate with a master’s degree in Physics Education from the UP College of Education. She is currently pursuing her graduate studies under the Ph.D. in Curriculum Studies program in the same college. Speaking of her non-academic side, she is a cat lover (a “furr parent” of 28 cats), loves brewed coffee, and is an avid fan of KPOP music.
