Dr. Dennis L. Danipog and Mr. Jobeth G. Martecio’s research forms part of UP NISMED’s ongoing initiative to develop a digital assessment tool that evaluates students’ critical thinking skills in STEM context. The presentation at the ESERA Conference 2025 sparked interest among science education researchers from around the globe, many of whom engaged the presenters with questions and discussions about the study. The paper was co-authored by Ms. Eijah Isabella P. Ednalino, a former member of UP NISMED’s Research Knowledge Management Group, whose contributions added depth to the study’s interdisciplinary approach.
The ESERA Conference 2025 gathered 1,750 science education professionals representing 59 countries. Centered on the theme “Transitions in Science Education: Sustainability and Digital Advances,” the event served as an avenue for exploring innovative approaches, fostering international collaboration, and driving transformative change in science education.
