UP NISMED is fortunate to have a new addition to the High School Mathematics Workgroup. Mary Grace R. Macacua is a graduate from the New Era University with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Mathematics. She is currently taking up her Master of Arts in Education Major in Mathematics at the UP College of Education under the DOST-CBPSME scholarship.
Grace is an active member of various esteemed academic organizations, namely the Mathematical Society of the Philippines, Philippine Council of Mathematics Teacher Educators (MATHTED) Inc., and the Southeast Asian Mathematical Society. She was an awardee during UP Diliman’s Parangal sa Mag-aaral in 2023.
While she may be inclined to academic pursuits, Grace has other endeavors that are not math-related. In her spare time, she would binge watch anime and sitcoms. She also joins monthly running events. In fact, Grace is now undergoing training for half-marathons.
