According to Ms. Naval, the Philippine School in Bahrain is implementing the Philippine Educational System and the K to 12 Curriculum. The school also follows requirements of the Ministry of Education Bahrain System. The school population is close to 1,140 students from K to Grade 10. Grade 11 started in the school year 2016 – 2017. The community school caters to the children of overseas Filipino workers who are holders of Philippine passports.

The highlight of the discussion was the inquiry-driven interdisciplinary project which starts with formulating questions with the questions coming from the teacher or from the students. Two or more teachers of the same grade level collaborate with one another in conceptualizing the objectives of the project. This project makes it easier for the students to relate concepts from different subjects and comply with the requirements.
