UP NISMED, DOST-AMCen, and DepEd Schools Division Office of Balanga City met on 14 April 2025 in Balanga City, to collaboratively plan the integration of the 3D printing in DepEd's curriculum on Creative Technologies. A Memorandum of Agreement has been drafted to cover this collaborative project. As part of the collaborative project, UP NISMED will train the implementing teachers of SDO Balanga City on 3D printing and on how to implement the 3D printing curriculum.

During the meeting, Dr. Monterola explained the relevance of training learners how to use the 3D printing technology. She further discussed the results of the study conducted by UP NISMED during the pilot implementation of the 3D printing curriculum that the Institute developed and piloted in the University of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS). Results of the study found a significant improvement in the systems thinking of the learners who took the 3D printing as an interest course in UPIS.
