Katrina M. Landrito Shares Learnings from Training Programs at General Assembly

UP NISMED Hostel Officer-in-Charge, Katrina M. Landrito attended two training programs, the Basic First Aid Training held on 20 March 2025 at the UP College of Music, and the UP HRDO-organized GEAR UP Training on Effective Communication for Efficient Customer Service conducted on 12, 13, and 20 August 2025.

During the UP NISMED General Assembly on 2 September 2025 at the Science Teacher Training Center First Floor Lobby, Landrito shared with colleagues the key insights she gained from these trainings. She emphasized the importance of basic first aid, noting that it is a vital skill not only for saving lives but also for preventing further harm, building confidence in emergencies, and applying practical knowledge in daily life. She also underscored its relevance for hostel staff, who regularly interact with and ensure the safety of guests.

On effective communication, Landrito explained that clear and respectful communication is essential in delivering efficient customer service. She highlighted how it contributes to guest satisfaction, stronger client loyalty, and overall organizational growth, while also fostering better collaboration among employees.

Through these learnings, Landrito is committed to putting her knowledge into practice and encouraging her colleagues to work hand in hand in continuously improving the UP NISMED Hostel’s service to its guests.
